'Into the Spring' by NZ Artist Suzanne Carter

Here is my new digital painting, dedicated to my friend Maggie Miller. Maggie and I were talking on Facebook this morning and she commented on my post about our cool Autumn weather here in New Zealand. She said something about coming into the spring in the US.  I thought it was quite cool how we were both talking together on Facebook and yet living a world apart in different time zones and different seasons of the year.

So when I had a break from teaching the children this morning I started messing around with some images and this is what I came up with:

Here is something new I was working on last night. So excited to be learning new things. I am editing images in Gimp which is a free program similar to PhotoShop. I am waiting for CS5Design Premium software to arrive for my new IMac, seriously excited about being able to dive in and really learn some new skills.

This new artwork is inspired by the reality of the Indwelling Holy Spirit who comes to live in the heart of a believer who has received Christ as Lord and Savior. We who belong to Jesus are all called to release the Love of God that we have received from Him to the world around us. We are called to be a light in the darkness because 'the light of the world dwells in us'

'Gaze' a new digital artwork by NZ Artist Suzanne Carter

I finished working on a new digital artwork last night and I love the vintage image of the little girl she has such a faraway dreamy look in her eyes, hence the name 'Gaze'. She reminds me of the innocence of children and the purity of their faith.

No wonder Jesus warns that whoever harms one of these little ones it would be better for him to tie a millstone around his neck and be thrown into the sea!

Fair as the moon by NZ Artist Suzanne Carter

I have just finished a new digital painting or photo-manipulation called 'Fair as the moon'. I love the book of 'Song of Solomon' in the bible, it is such an amazing book. I love how it depicts the relationship between the Shulamite and the Beloved and her journey toward intimacy!
